It is a great barbecue recipe to make on a hot summer day or on a holiday like Memorial Day or the 4th of July.
4 Hour moist and tender pulled pork
With this easy slow cooker recipe all you do is toss the ingredients in a crock pot and four hours later (on high) you have a pot full of the best-pulled pork you'll ever make.

Not everyone has the time or inclination to pull out the barbecue grill, smoker or heat up the house with the oven when your craving pulled pork sandwiches.
I love smoking a big pork roast and making pulled pork sandwiches but sometimes I want to make a pulled pork sandwich without all the work.
Slow cooking boneless pork ribs in the crock pot is how I can enjoy a barbecued pulled pork sandwich on a busy weeknight or a big holiday like the 4th of July when I want pulled pork but don't want to fire up the grill.
Smoking a pork roast on the grill takes hours.
Plus you have to go in and out of the house to keep an eye on the smoker and the pork roast during cooking time.
Sometimes I just don't feel like messing with the grill for hours.
The best part about this recipe is that there are only 5 ingredients and one is optional.
Ingredients
Below are the ingredients you will need to make the best pulled pork. Scroll down to the recipe card for the ingredient amounts and complete directions.
- Boneless Pork Ribs
- Barbecue sauce
- Brown Sugar
- Dry Mustard or yellow mustard
- Garlic Powder
Directions
Step 1: Pour half the bottle barbecue sauce into the bottom of the crock pot.
Step 2: Add all the boneless pork ribs to the crock pot.
Step 3: Pour the remaining barbecue sauce over the boneless pork ribs.
Step 4: Add the dry mustard, garlic powder, and brown sugar if using.
Step 5: Stir well to cover the pork ribs with the barbecue sauce.
Step 6: Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours (depends on the thickness of the boneless pork ribs).
Step 7: When the pork ribs are cooked through use a fork to pull the tender pork meat apart.
Step 8: Serve on buns with a side of homemade sweet coleslaw and a pasta salad.
By the way, you can use boneless chicken breasts instead of pork to make barbecue pulled chicken sandwiches instead.

Pulled pork can dry out in the crock pot if it is over cooked. Keeping the meat covered in barbecue sauce can help keep the pork moist and prevent drying out.
